This course will cover the basics of producing multimedia journalistic stories for distribution on the Web. Storage Media

Students will need to purchase storage media for their production projects. Student files may not be left on the computers in TUCC 101  or the Tech Center. I strongly recommend that you get yourself the following if you don’t already have one.

  • A portable USB drive - Get at least 512MB of storage (under $20 at Staples)Blackboard and WordPress.comThis class will utilize both Blackboard and WordPress.com.
  • Blackboard. All students have been auto-enrolled into the class Blackboard site. If you have problems accessing this site, please call the Help Desk at 215-204-8000.
  • WordPress. All students should create a free WordPress.com account. You will use your account to post your reading responses and class projects to the class blog (which you are reading)  . I will also post course lecture notes and references on this blog. The previous entry describes how to create a free WordPress.com account. There is also a document on Blackboard under COURSE DOCUMENTS that explains how to set up an account.
